J.C. : He will take you, upstairs and show you a room for you ready to use. Prepare for us there, prepare the party, we`ll be there! Chorus: That evening at the meal JC said: "I will be betrayed by one of you, by the one now eating with me, I will be betrayed." J.C. : I will die, but it will be horrible, for the one who betrays me! That man would be better off would be better off if he had never been born!

The Meal 03:21

High Treason 03:16
TV Announcer Last night the story of JC, we’ve been following closely for the last three years, seems to have reached its climax. For we learnt that he`s been charged with leading an uprising against the law, against the state! J.C. I wish that my eyes were fountains of tears, that I could cry day and night for my people who were killed. (Chorus : High treason, high treason!) TV Announcer: The accusations were founded on the testimony of many, who charged him that he was planning to destroy the system. TV Announcer + Chorus: But the strangest news seems to be the claim of the accused himself that he is the Son of God J.C. : They accuse me of crimes I know nothing about; I stumble, they keep on laughing, they hate me for no reason! Please don`t stay, far away from me! Chorus : High treason, high treason!
11.
Best Friend 03:47
Reporter & Chorus: Out there someone stared at a man and shouted: "You were with him." Loud the clock struck the hour, when he turned away his face he turned away his face and whispered "No." JC : Before the clock strikes twice three times you`ll say that you don`t know me. Before the clock strikes twice three times you`ll say that you never knew me. Reporter & Chorus: Out there someone pointed at the man and shouted: "He is one of them!" Loud the clock struck again, when he closed his eyes, he closed his eyes and screamed "Nooo!" JC: Before the clock strikes twice three times you`ll say that you don`t know me. Before the clock strikes twice three times you`ll say that you never knew me. Reporter & Chorus : You certainly are one of them! x3 You are one of them He remembered... JC: Before the clock.... Reporter & Chorus: And started crying, crying The tears of sorrow, tears of blame Brokenhearted remembering Comfortless, lonely Only crying for his friend.
12.
Chorus (one voice): He wasn`t some handsome king, nothing about the way he looked made him attractive to us. He was rejected and despised, his life was filled with sorrow and suffering, no one wanted to look at him. Chorus: Hold on, Here he comes! JC! He`s hand-cuffed! Hand-cuffed! Chorus (one voice): He was crushed and painfully abused, but he didn`t want to complain, silent like a lamb led to the butcher. As quiet as a sheep having its wool cut off, who could imagine what would happen to him? Chorus: Hold on, Here he comes! JC! Hand-cuffed! He`s hand-cuffed! Chorus (one voice): We thought it was punishment from God, but he was wounded for our sins and made us completely well. All of us were like wandered off sheep, each had gone our own way, but God gave him what we deserved. Judge : Have you got anything to say in your defense? Haven`t you heard how many crimes you`ve been accused of? Why don`t you speak? Why don`t you speak? Why don`t you speak? Chorus : Why don`t you speak, Why don`t you speak, J.C. ? Say something! Say something! Chorus+ Reporter: The silence is really heavy, J.C. doesn`t say a word, it looks like he doesn`t want to fight for his life! Chorus + Reporter: Silence. The judge is amazed. Now the jury retires. Anguish, waiting, here they come now! The sentence is pronounced: Chorus: It is death! No appeals allowed! The sentence will be carried out now ! The justice done!
13.
14.
Reporter through Chorus (flashback): The soldiers led J.C. to the palace courtyard and called the other soldiers over too they put a purple robe on him, and on his head they placed a crown, made out of thorns. They made fun of him and shouted, "Hail, our great king!", then they beat him on the head with a stick, they spat on him and knelt down to worship him, pretended to worship him. Reporter : I see back to a different time so cruel and unjust, it should belong to history, but it`s here, here right now. The soldiers are taking off the purple robe, putting his clothes back on him, they are now out in the main city street, they`re marching between wings of crowd. Reporter + Chorus: All is done! All is done! Reporter through Chorus (flashback): They took him to the place called the Skull and offered him wine mixed with drugs, a drink to ease the pain, but he refused it, he refused to drink . It was about nine o'clock in the morning, they nailed him to a cross and gambled to see who would get his clothes, under the sign that said: "This is our King". "This is our King". Reporter + Chorus: All is done! All is done! Reporter: I see back to a different time, so cruel and unjust, it should belong to history, but it`s here, here right now People passing by are shouting at him: "You`re the one who have claimed I can tear the temple down to the ground and build a new one in three days!" Mob: Come down from the cross And save yourself! Come down from the cross And save yourself! He saved others, but he can't save himself. He saved others, but not himself. If he`s the Christ, let him come down the cross If he`s the Christ, let him come down the cross that we may see and believe let him come down the cross that we may see that we may see and believe!
15.
Chorus: About noon the sky turned dark and the darkness stayed until three. At that time J.C. cried, "Eloi,Eloi, why have you deserted me?" Some people standing there said, "He is calling for help, let's see if the help from Heaven will come to take him down!" But the man gave out a cry and died. Then the veil, that until that moment was separating Heaven from Earth tore in two. Someone whispered: "This man really was, really was the Son of God!" From a distance some women, who were following him, had helped him all along, were looking on. The body was taken down from the cross, wrapped in a linen cloth - new. Laid in a tomb, cut into the rock and sealed with a block of stone. And the women saw where the body was, where the body was, Where JC was laid.

17.
The Tomb 03:29
TV Announcer: Some women from his staff went there today, but to their shock they found out that his body was - missing! But let`s hear the whole story directly from one of them: Woman: Early this morning, I went with other women to the chapel and along the way, we were wondering how to unlock the door, for we had no key. But when we arrived the door was wide open and a tall young man, dressed in white, was sitting on the right side! Young man : Don`t be afraid, you`re looking for J.C., who was executed two days ago ! Well, he isn`t here, he`s been raised from death, you can see the place where he was laid! Now go! and tell his friends he is going ahead of them to the place they`d meet, And that soon, they`ll be able to see him alive, just as he`d said! Just as he had told them before! Yeah! TV Announcer: That was the lady`s version of the unusual event, the disappearance of - JC`s body, surely sounds a weird story! ...to our modern, scientific ears, and no wonder it is hard to believe, but we are confident that the truth will be soon discovered and revealed by the police forces.

John's Drums 00:24

He's Alive 04:14
Reporter: Very early, day one of the week, after J.C. had risen to life, he appeared to me and I went to his friends, who were crying and mourning in despair! Chorus: And even though they heard from the women That he is alive, they didn`t want to listen. Reporter: Later J.C. appeared to another two, but again his friends did not believe. In the end, he appeared to all of them, while they were eating together at home. Chorus: He scolded them,‘cos they refused to believe those who had seen him raised to life. J.C. Go and tell the news to everyone in the world! Anyone who believes in me and is washed with water will live, everyone who believes in me will do wonderful things! Chorus: By using my name they`ll drive out demons, and they will speak new languages. They will handle snakes and will drink poison and they will not be hurt. They will heal sick and dying people, placing their hands on them, and they will all feel well! Yeah.... Reporter: After J.C. had said these things, he was taken back to the place he came from, where he now forever lives and reigns in his full power and glory. Chorus: Then his friends left and told the news everywhere, the great things they did proved the message was true. J.C. : Go and tell the news to everyone in the world! Anyone who believes in me and is washed with water will live! Anyone who believes in me will do wonderful things! Go and tell the news to everyone in the world!.....

about

After the premiere of Goodbye Uncle Rock Opera in 2006 and the release of the album the same year, Rob Falsetti and Ana Vukovojac, the leading force of The Migrators, expected that the project would take off with new shows, reviews, album sales, but that did not happen.

In fact, despite the promotion and international distribution, they obtained only a handful of positive reviews. All the doors, despite the efforts and expectations, were closed.
It was a tough time for The Migrators who had invested years of work into this project with the best intentions and hopes.

Therefore, The Migrators decided to freeze the project for the time being and dedicated themselves to composing a new Rock Opera.

Goodbye Uncle was about the battle between good and evil, a theme they decided to continue deepening by going back to its origins. With new opera, they decided to put the Passion, Death and Resurrection of Christ into music.

They took the Gospel of Mark and adapted the lyrics without changing them to the music they began composing.

The idea was to put a second Rock Opera on stage, with a theme that would possibly attract the attention of many people, something like a second "Jesus Christ Superstar".
The theme set the need for a change in the music style, so it moved more towards “hard rock”.

In January 2007 the first version of the work was finished, the songs were written, composed and played by Rob and Ana, recorded and mixed in their studio in Rome

The Way
The story of J.C.
Version I

"The Way", however, consisted of a series of songs quite eclectic in style. What came out eventually, was almost an experimental album with different musical styles, which in fact, had little to do with Rob and Ana's original idea for the second Rock Opera.

Consequently, they continued working on the songs, and "The Way" gave birth to "The Truth", the second version of the same album, which undoubtedly was taking on a more proper rock opera form compared to the first version.

We are in 2008, the music is homogeneous and no longer sounds like an album of songs in different styles...With the contribution of Gianni Colaiacomo on bass and Massimo Rosari on drums, the songs have been brought to another level.

The Truth
The story of J.C.
Version II

Despite the improvement, however, Rob and Ana were still not satisfied with the result and continued working.

It is 2009, the songs of "The Truth" have again been modified, arranged and recorded, with Gianni Colaiacomo on bass and Max Rosari on drums, and mixed in Ana and Rob's studio in Rome.
The fruit of this work is "The Life", the third and the final version of the Rock Opera " The Sory of J.C. “

Whether the last version is better than the first or the second one, at this point, it is hard to tell, but back then, everyone was satisfied with the outcome .

Once the album was mastered, Rob and Ana began circulating it, attracting the interest of Jörn Heitmann, a Berlin based film and video director known for some of Rammstein's videos.

A cooperation was born and the pre-production to stage The Story of J.C. in Berlin took place.Unfortunately and despite a great work done, the project could not be completed in Berlin.

“The story of J.C.” then, evolved in a medium-length music film (2016) and live shows (2018) under the title “Dolomitenfront”, both produced and performed in Italy.

The Life
The story of J.C.
Version III

A note: throughout the 3 versions, in 3 years, only 3 songs remained practically the sameナ

Enjoy the music!
