The UNDERGROUND ARROWS formed in Rome in1980 from an idea of Roberto Falsetti and gained the attention of public & press thanks to their personal mix of 60`s influenced Mod Power Pop. The British music mag “Underground” defined the band as “a sharp angle on the perfect pop factor”.

In 1984 their first single “Generational Disease”(Stand On Records), goes number nine in Italy`s indie chart and in 1985 the U.A. perform a 30 minutes set live on Italy`s Radio1.

Their second single “The Beat Of Life” (Unicorn Records) described by Richard Boon(New Hormones/Buzzcocks) as “Jam tight guitars and tight rock”

fully confirms the value of the band and in 1987 the EP “No Chance To Escape”(Unicorn Records) becomes Italy`s single of the year and the U.A. perform live on channel one.

The U.A. are the first foreign mod band ever to play in UK. Along with Britain, they also toured Europe several times including Spain, Germany, Austria etc.

Thanks to their first album “Alive Today”(Mantra Records) the band gets reviewed in the Italian Rock Music Encyclopaedia published in 1993, and according to music mag “Rockerilla” is one of the best albums of 1988.

In 1996 the ultimate Underground Arrows collection “In With The In-Crowd”, 70 minutes of music that features tracks from 1984 to 1992, plus 12 previously unreleased numbers, was released (Banda Bonnot Records).

The 2004 June issue of Italian music mag “Rumore” includes UA album “Alive Today” among the 50 records of the 80`s to remember.
