about

For the 15th anniversary of the Premiere of Goodbye Uncle Rock Opera at All Saints Anglican Church Rome, we have decided to release the entire show as a music album, it has never been published before except for a few videos on YouTube. However the sound and the concept of the Opera are so contemporary that we felt that time has finally come to share those magic moments of the performance with the public

"Goodbye Uncle"
Rock Opera Multimedia Project

Live Rock Opera Show, April 19, 2006

In 2005/2006 Rob Falsetti, as the Artistic Director of Krypt Klub association (now Shaking Foundations Multimedia Productions) had initiated and led "Goodbye Uncle" Rock Opera Multimedia project.
"Goodbye Uncle", an originally written story by Ana Vukovojac , turned into a 19 songs concept album rock opera, composed by Rob Falsetti and Ana Vukovojac. Simultaneously Rob had the idea to organize an independent production of the Rock Opera Live Show, and make it the first event in the series of multimedia events and projects related to this Opera.

The Premiere was staged on 19 April 2006 in Rome in the Anglican Cathedral in the Centre of Rome. The production of The Premiere and the live DVD was entirely self-produced in cooperation between Krypt Klub and All Saints Anglican Church Rome, who sponsored the whole event, but some private sponsors participated too.

The Creative/Production team numbered 6 people. The cast included 8 actors, singers and dancers. The live band numbered 8 pieces. The technical crew was made of 2 sound engineers and one light engineer. Two cameramen and a film director were taking care of the DVD shooting. The pre-production staff and the ushers comprised some 10 people. The promotion was done through posters and leaflets in the major English speaking and Italian bookstores, Language Schools, in bilingual newspapers and magazines, various public places and clubs, invitations to the artists, directors and producers were sent.

We applied 3 innovative ideas to the show:

- the choice of the Venue: 18th century gothic Anglican Cathedral All Saints in Rome
- whole day dress rehearsals open to the public and the main show in the evening.
- live rock music incorporated with the stage performance.

The Premiere was a success, with all seats sold-out. A Roman monthly in English language, put it this way: " All told, the musicians, the actors, director and producer have come with quite a slick production... halfway between bizarre and brilliant.."

Goodbye Uncle - Photo Story Exhibition Nov 7, 2006

with live music and refreshments party, was organized and produced by KryptKlub and took place in All Saints Church, Rome. The Exhibition included 19 artistic photos (70x100) which told the story of Goodbye Uncle. The concept was created by Rob Falsetti and creative photographer Massimo Paradiso, who also artistically shot and edited the photographs. A number of professional and amateur actors and dancers took part in the photo sessions. The construction of the exhibit panels and the exhibition design was carried out by the sculptor Federico Pisciotta. The budget for the event and the promotion was fully raised by Krypt Klub from private sponsors. The Exhibition was also a fundraising event for future performances.

Goodbye Uncle - Concept Album with Photo Story Booklet,
Published by A.d.R. Editrice, Roma, 2007

The music was produced, arranged and recorded by Rob Falsetti and Ana Vukovojac.
The final mix-down and drums recordings were carried out in the studio "Sky" in Belgrade, Serbia (largest recording studio of ex-Yugoslavia) and mastered in "Reference" studio in Rome. The Photo Story Booklet includes 19 artistic photographs ( 40 pages 20 x 16 cm booklet in full colour), taken from Goodbye Uncle Exhibition and incorporated with the lyrics. Photo Story Booklet design was made by Massimo Paradiso.

The costs of all Album production, including - recording, mixing and mastering, 1 month trip to Belgrade, musicians salaries, graphic design, printing of 1000 CD copies and photo story booklets, were financed by A.d.R. Editrice, Roma and some private sponsors.

Other Goodbye Uncle multimedia projects

1. "Shiny Kid`s Battle Manual"
2. Goodbye Uncle Playstation Game
3. Goodbye Uncle feature film
These projects are still waiting for their realization.

Goal of "Goodbye Uncle" multimedia projects

By creating Goodbye Uncle concept based on the original story, Roberto Falsetti and Ana Vukovojac wanted to foster the use of the various artistic multimedia means and combine modern technologies, uniting and encouraging a group of professional artists in employing their talents beyond their own limited fields. He believes that the independent productions give a larger freedom in artistic expression and help the important messages be heard and seen in the right way, permitting the artists to grow in their profession as well as experience and learn in the production field. Goodbye Uncle production experience can serve as an example and encouragement to younger artists to actively employ their talents, exchanging and building relationships at home and internationally.

Story

"Goodbye Uncle” is a modern day fable. It is about sudden realization of one person – Shiny Kid, that the city he lives in is a Rubber city. He finds out something stunning – that the rubber is real and its production a plot, behind which there is someone - Uncle. His victims are the inhabitants of this city, who by Uncle`s deceptions become the very producers of the rubber, his slaves, and enemy to themselves and each other- therefore, Rubberons. Moreover, they don’t have a slightest idea about what is happening to them, but it is Shiny Kid who will urgently set off to tell his fellow-citizens about the amazing discovery that can set them free. How will good win over evil, where will the good come from; why didn’t Shiny Kid become a Rubberon; how can Uncle be defeated? These are some the main issues of this story, lead by the Migrators`
